Ray Bicksler is owner of the high butterfat cow for
lactations completed in November, 1978. His “Gerry.” a 9-
year old Holstein, produced 25,995 pounds of milk and 1017
pounds of butterfat in 305 days. Tops in milk production
was “Velvet,” a 5-year old Holstein owned by Richard
Troutman. The winning production figures were 27,941
pounds of milk and 979 pounds of butterfat. Also producing
over 27,000 pounds of milk was “Julie,” owned by George
Troutman. The 7-year old Holstein produced 27,576 pounds
of milk and 944 pounds of butterfat.
