MOWER-CONDITIONER
Vicon Farm Machinery,
Inc., Chesapeake, Va. has
added the KM-240 mower
conditioner to its family of
haymaking equipment.
The KM-240 cuts and
conditions the tallest,
heaviest, wettest hay, says
the manufacturer. A 6-disc
cutter bar feeds the crop
directly into rubber rollers
that condition green hay or
wet grass, so it dries fast and
bales easily.
Because it’s a disc mower,
the Vicon KM-240 mower
conditioner eliminates the
pick-up reel and problems
that come with it. A reel

Insects found in firewood
FLEMINGTON, N.J. -
Several different types of
insects may enter the home
m fireplace wood.
Fortunately, these insects
are not likely to become
established as damaging
pests. However, they can
become a nuisance by ap
pearing periodically
throughout the Winter
months, says experts.
A person may see them
first around windows and
lights in rooms where
firewood is stored or in a
room with a fireplace. Later,
the insects may wander into
other areas of the house.
To prevent the appearance
of these uninvited guests,
one should not store firewood
