grand champion steer was
exhibited by David Huff,
Montgomery County,
weighing 1150 pounds at the
Bucks, Carbon, Lehigh,
Montgomery, Northampton
and Schuylkill Eastern
Pennsylvania 4-H Beef and
Lamb Sale, November 18, at
the Allentown Fairgrounds.
The buyer, Dan George,
George’s Foodliner,
Westgate Shopping Center,
Bethlehem, paid $2.00 per
pound.
Carol Krause, Lehigh
County, showed the reserve
grand champion steer
weighing 1250 pounds which
was sold for $.96 per pound.
The buyer again was Danny
George of George’s
Foodliner.

purchased the champion
light weight steer weighing
978 pounds for $.67 per
pound. This steer was
exhibited by Dianne Troxell,
Schuylkill County.
The reserve champion
lightweight steer weighing
901 pounds sold for $.69 per
pound and was bought by
Danny George’s Foodlmer,
Bethlehem. The steer was
exhibited by Brian Ruch,

exhibited by Ruth Grim,
Lehigh County, was pur
chased by Danny George’s
Foodliner, Bethlehem. The

pounds and was sold at $1.70
per pound.

County. Reserve champion
mediumweight lamb,
weighing 108 pounds was
sold at $l.OO per pound to

Bethlehem. It was owned by
Bethann Nehoda, Bucks
County. Paul Drissel, Sr.
purchased the reserve
champion heavy weight
lamb for $.90 per pound. The
lamb was exhibited by Ruth
Grim, Lehigh County,
weighing 125 pounds.
The sale, as was the show
on Friday, was conducted by
the Agricultural Extension
Service, with the county
agents of the six counties in
charge. The auctioneer was
Ralph Zettlemoyer.
