Boil milk. Mix flour,
sugar, salt and egg into a
smooth batter. Add the bat
ter, coconut, and crushed

Society 9. The meeting
began with Mr. George
Harvey giving a program on
house plants at his
greenhouse in Earlsville.
The Society then traveled
to the home of Mrs. Helen
Oxenford of Amityville for
the business meetmg.
The next meetmg will be a
Christmas Party at The
Gilbertsville Fire Company
on December 1, starting at 7
p.m. Dinner and a gift ex
change for members and
their husbands will be
featured at the party.

returns from the Milton
Eberly food stand. Nme
members attended the
County Convention and two
members plan on attending
the State Convention
January 8-9.
December 2 is the date for
the family night Christmas
covered dish dinner. A
program of “Words and
Music” will be given by
Reverend Robert Kittermg
of Florin.

The Society packed 23
Thanksgiving baskets for
shut-ins from the com
munity.
The Society will have a bus
trip on December 18 to
Longwood Gardens for the
Christmas lighting. If any
other Societies were in
teresting m attending the
trip, the contact person is
Mrs. J. Edward Breneman,
717-464-2230. The trip
deadline is December 1. The
cost is $6 The Society will be
leavmg from Willow Street
at 5 p.m., and will return at
9:30 p.m. the same evening.
The next meetmg will be
held December 2. Husbands
are invited to the Christmas
party scheduled for that
evenmg at the Refton Fire
Hall.

County Farm Women Socie
ty 14 at their November
meeting. Martha Ranck
hosted the Society with Edna
Groff, Elva Rowe and
Miriam Leaman serving as
co-hostesses.
President Viola Hostetter
chaired the meeting.
Donations were given to
the United Way, LARK and
individual gifts will be given
to the residents at the Dutch
Boarding Home at
Christmas time.
Delegates to the State Con
vention will be; Rhoda Lan
dis, Miriam Leaman and An
na Marie Groff.
The next meeting will be
held December 13, 12:30
p.m. The Society will meet at
the Official Tourist Bureau
and then travel to the North
Museum Planetarium for a
business meeting. The pro
gram will include a sock and
mitten collection and gift ex
change.
