PIPE
INSULATION
A new do-it-yourself pipe
insulation that can help
homeowners conserve
energy has been developed
by Armstrong Cork Com
pany’s Industry Products
Division.
Armstrong Do-It-Yourself
Pipe Insulation is designed
to help homeowners lower
their fuel bills and conserve
energy in hot-water systems
by reducing heat loss
through pipes. It also helps
to control messy con
densation on cold-water
pipes during humid summer
months.
The new pipe insulation is
a flexible elastomeric
thermal insulation supplied
as flanged sht-tubing for fast
and easy application. The
pipe covering is snapped
over the pipe and then held
in place with easy to install
metal clamps that fit right
over the flange to provide a
tight fit.
The D-I-Y Pipe Insulation
is available m three common
home piping sizes: 1/2 in
die copper tubing, 3/4 mche
copper tubing, and 1 mche
copper tubing.
Armstrong is ottering the
insulation m a special
display carton through
hardware and building
supply stores. Individual
packaged units in the display
carton will retail for ap
proximately $6. Each
package contains six three
foot lengths of pipe in
sulation and metal clips.

Kerry Boyd of Ephrata exhibited this barrow to grand champion honors last
week during the Keystone International Livestock Exposition. The heavyweight
junior barrow outclasses a mediumweight entry shown by Gus Parlett of Airville,
York County, who had the resente grand champion. Another York Countian,
Melissa Trostle of Red Lion took first place in the lightweight judging.
