classes of four production
hens, each and a class of
production pullets. Members
of 36 participating teams will
be allowed to hold the birds
and observe t&em for 12'
minutes. In addition to
evaluatinjg live birds, the
competition will include
grading and evaluating a
class of 10 ready to cook
broiler-fryers, a class of
ready to cook turkeys, and
two classes of 24 white shell
market eggs. Here again the
teams will base their scores
on U.S. Department of
Agriculture standards.

both knowlege and skill of
participants in solving
mechanical problems and

for Vocational-Instnictional
Materials has given out
standing service to the
vocational agriculture
program in many ways.
AAVIM has produced,
published and distributed
several million copies of
instructional materials for
both pre-service and in
service classes in vocational
agriculture. The AAVIM has
assisted several states in
organizing and operating
curriculum development
centers for vocational
agriculture. AAVIM "per
sonnel have participated in
numerous contests acting as
judges and officials and have
served on many committees
and workshops for
vocational agriculture, and,

The American Red Cross
Greater Kansas City
Chapter for over 35 years
has cooperated with the
National FFA Staff and
State Associations in setting
up a “First Aid Station” on
the first day of the National
Convention and operating it
with volunteers every day of
the convention. The group
has served scores of FFA
members, taking care of
accidents, illness and
helping when medical needs
existed.
The Midcontinental
Farmers Association has
sponsored numerous state
and national FFA activities.
The MFA has hosted
National FFA Officers on
tour, provided support to the
National FFA Alumni
Association, and has sup
plied many judges for
National FFA Contests. The
MFA has also sponsored
special events promoting
vocational agriculture and
the FFA. The Mid
continental Farmers
Association is a National
FFA Foundation Sponsor.
