‘ Crockett’s Victory Garden 9 to feature Longwood
KENNETT SQUARE -
Garden lovers across
America will have a unique
opportunity to visit world
famous Longwood Gardens
in the comfort of their own
*
Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square will be presented to television viewers
as part of ‘‘Crockett’s Victory Garden”. Two half-hour segments will be aired
during the first and third weeks of November.
In Fall of 1976 Umbaugh introduced a new
line of standard machinery storage buildings.
The innovations in design, materials and con
struction methods have made these the best
machinery storage buildings available.
These buildings have no frills. When a far
mer buys an Umbaugh building, his money is
invested in durable materials and sound en
gineering practices.
Farmers who shop around usually buy from
Umbaugh. We invite comparisons of price
and quality.

Jim Crockett is especially
enthusiastic about the
educational appeal of such
areas as the Container
House and the Balcony
Gardens, both of which will
be highlighted. “Longwood
is one of the greatest
teaching gardens I’ve ever
encountered,” he notes,
“where the average home
gardener is shown what he
can do without a fortune.
“These gardens are filled
with educational features,
proven by visitors with
notebooks as well as
cameras. Even those who
come just for the spectacle
go home with a whole

Crockett’s approach to
gardening is based on prac

has his gardening failures,
