rabies cases, all bats, were
reported in the Com
monwealth during Sep
tember, according to the
Pennsylvania Department of
Agriculture’s Bureau of
Animal Industry.

bat in Emmaus, Lehigh
County. She has been un
dergoing rabies treatment.
One-jabies case was
reported in each of eight
other counties: Allegheny,
Blair, Butler, Bucks,
Delaware, Luzerne, Nor
thumberland and West
moreland.
So far this year 17 rabies
cases have been diagnosed
positive in Pennsylvania, all
involving bats.
