4 Royalty 9 crowned in York County 4-H program

YORK - York County has
a new 4-H king and queen,
crowned in ceremonies that
climaxed the annual
Achievement Day, held last
Sunday afternoon at the 4-H
Center near Bair.
Jonathan Miller, 15-year
old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray
Miller, Seven Valleys Hi,
was selected as the king;
and lisa Dobrosky, 15-year
old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Anthony Dobrosky, Glen
Rock R 2 will reign as queen.
The attractive and
knowledgeable pair will
serve as spokesmen for the
county’s 4-H program, doing
public relations work
Jonathan Miller and Lisa Dobrosky will promote
4-H as the newly selected York County king and
queen.

A 4-H member for eight
years, Jon represented the
Jefferson Community Club,
where he serves as the vice
president. His busy schedule
includes carrying projects in
dairy, sheep, vet science,
tractor, and he won the York
Fair’s grand champion
tractor driver award. A
junior at the York Area Vo-
Tech School, Jon is majoring
in machine shop and is a
varsity member of the
wrestling team.
Lisa, also 15, is a seven
year member of 4-H and
especially active in the lamb
club, which she serves as
president. She’s treasurer of
county council and has
carried ceramics,
leathercraft, quilling and
health projects through the
Glen Rock' club. A
demonstration on smoking,
given in 1377 competition,
won Lisa the state gold
medal award;
At Susquehannock High
School, where Lisa is a
sophomore studying college
preparatory courses, she has
served on the student council
for five years and is
assistant editor of the
yearbook. In November,
she’ll travel to Kansas City
to take part in the. national 4-
H meats judging contest,
and was named high in
dividual at the state level.
First runner-up for' the
title of king was' Steve
Trostle, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ronald Trostle, Bed lion R 2.
Named the second runner
up was Joey Welsh, son of
Mr. and Mrs. James Welsh,
