Cows were firm to mostly 50 cents higher and bulls firm to 1.00 higher. Four day receipts 14,300 as compared 12,700 previous week and 13,900 a year ago. The fed cattle trade followed much the same pattern as the previous week. Prices declined slightly on the opening session in view of a rather sluggish carcass trade, and most buying interests were rather cautious and selective.
