Top Holstein honors go
HARRISBURG - The
Pennsylvania All-American
Dairy Show concluded its
five days of events at the
Farm Show Complex in
Harrisburg last Friday with
the wrap-up of the Holstein
judging. The Holstein-
Friesian Association of
America held their approved
Eastern National Show at
the All-American this year.
Pinehurst Farms,
Sheboygan Falls, Wis. was
named premier breeder of
the Holstein show. Pinehurst
Farms had received
numerous honors in two days
of judging at the Holstein
show, including the grand
and senior champion bull.
The show’s premier
exhibitor was Winter-Place
of Winslow, Maine. Select
Sire of Plain City, Ohio,
exhibited the premier sire,
“Round Oak Rag Apple
Elevation,” a junior get-of
sire.

year or older class.
In last Thursday’s
Holstein judging, Pinehurst
Farms exhibited the grand
and senior champion bull,
“Westcrest Granada,” from
the three years or older
class. The reserve grand
champion bull title went to
“Smith Meade Fire
Cracker” a senior yearling
bull owned by Smith Meade
Farm of Frederick, Md.
“Meade” also took the junior
champion bull title.
“Kingstead Monty,” from
the three years or older
class, captured the reserve
senior champion bull honor
Eastern National
for Kingstead Farms of
Damascus, Maryland.
Linden-Loch Holstein of
Oley, Berks County, took the
reserve junior champion bull
title with “W S L Linden-
Loch Astra Mark,” a junior
yearling bull.
The show’s junior
champion female honors
went to “Pinehurst Lyric,”
from Pinehurst Farms of
Wisconsin. The reserve
junior champion female title
went to “C Bemadale Argro
Bonnie,” exhibited by
Winter-Place of Winslow,
Maine.
