Scholarship
nominees named
UNIVERSITY PARK -
Julia Ann Staver, 25,
Palmyra Rl, and Donald L.
Yorlets, 23, Mechanicsburg,
who have both compiled
outstanding records in 4-H
work have been chosen as
state nominees for a 4-H
veterinary science
scholarship in the 1978 4-H.
National Awards program.
Support of the veterinary
science scholarship program
is provided by Champion
Valley Farms, Inc., of
Camden, N. J.
The daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Staver, Julia
has been a 4-H member for
11 years. She is a student at
the University of Penn
sylvania School of
Veterinary Medicine.
She served as secretary
and president of the Dauphin
County 4-H Sheep Club and
vice president of the
Dauphin County 4-H Council.
She completed projects in
sheep, dairy, and sewing.
Julia won county 4-H
awards in sheep and
ement, and showed
the grand champion market
lamb at the 1972 Penn
sylvania Farm Show.
She took part in the
Citizenship Short Course, 4-
H Regional Teen Leaders
Retreat, and Pennsylvania
4-H Leadership Congress.
The son of Mr. and Mrs.
John C. Yorlets, Jr., Donald
has been a 4-H member for
six years. He is a student at
the University of Penn
sylvania School of
Veterinary Medicine.
As a 4-H member he was
active in the Veterinary
Science Club, Baby Beef
Club, and Agri-Business
Club. He served as
president, vice president,
and teen leader.
Donald won numerous
awards for beef type, fitting,
and showmanship, and
competed in the Steer Show
and Sale at the 1974 Penn
sylvania Farm Show.
He was a state winner in
the commodity marketing
project in the 4-H National
Awards Program and won
an expense-paid to the

Volleyball Developed

George Morgan of the Young
