In 1977 she was named Cumberland County’s Outstanding 4-H Dairy Member and was a gold medalist at State 4-H Achievement Days with her safety demonstration. “4-H has contributed mostly to my strength of character,” she says. “I have learned to handle added responsibility and how to work effectively with others.” i Judy Long, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Long, Sr., is a 1978 high school graduate. She has been a 4-H member the past nine years. A member of six Cum berland County 4-H dubs, she served as president, vice -president, secretary, treasurer, and teen leader. She completed projects in horse, beef, swine, clothing, flowers, teen leadership, photography, and forestry.
