The spacious new facilities of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association’s sale and
export pavilion on its farm near Middletown was the scene for the first All-
American Sale, known prior to this year as the Pennysylvania All-American Sale.
The sale averaged $4162.

A total of 47 registered
black-and-whites were
auctioned off in the new
facilities, which are con
veniently located near the
Harrisburg International
Airport, the former Olm
stead Air Force Base. Many
of the nation’s export cattle
leave for their overseas
destinations from the
Harrisburg airport.
The All-American Sale
was the first public event at
the PHA-owned farm, and
Pennsylvania Holstein
breeders were obviously
proud of the brand-new
facilities.
