LANCASTER - The 1978
District VI 4-H Horse Show
was held September 16, at
the Lancaster Riding Club.
Club members from Adams,
Cumberland, Dauphin,
Franklin, Lancaster,
Lebanon, Perry, and York
Counties participated inthe
event.
Rick Buckwalter, from
Lancaster County, won the
Junior division of the
Grooming and Showmanship
class, showing his Janie’s
Folly in the event. With his
horse,he also won the Junior
division of the stock seat
equitation and placed fourth
in the Western Pleasure
Horse class.
Nancy Balm, York County,
won the Senior division of the
Grooming and Showman
ship, with her mount,
Velvaccount. She also placed
second in the Senior division
of the stock seat equitation.
Jody Ruth, Adams County,
and her horse. Major
O’Hara, won the Hunter
under Saddle class as well as
the Hunter Seat Equitation,
overjumps.
Another double winner at
the show was Debra
Zickafoose, also from
Adams County. The young
lady, showing Dark
Shadows, placed first in both
the Working Hunter ponies
class and the Junior division
of the Hunter Seat
Equitation.

classes; William Plush,
Norristown, for the western,
and Peggy Ogorchock,
Reynoldsville, for the trail
class.
