Quarryville R 2, a ninth
grader at Solanco High. He
showed a 1155 pound
Chinina-Angus crossbred
which had been purchased
from Fred Frey, Twin Oak
Farms. The steer was
named Wildfire.
Dwight Herr, Quarryville
R 2, was named the reserve
champion in the FFA
division, showing a
Limousine-Red Angus
crossbred in the lightweight
division. His steer weighed
1020 pounds. Dwight is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Herr.

crossbred steer, Ace, both look proud to be in the
limelight at the Solanco Fair beef show. Miss
Weaver led her steer to be named champion of the
4-H division and then grand champion of the show.
