Dairy contest results posted for Cecil

casions.

first place heavyweight and
eventual champion steer. In
addition, she was champion

third, respectively. The
senior contest was won by
Tom Barczewski of Elkton,
with Dora Weaver,
Perryville, placing second,
and Jen Johnson, Not
tingham, filling the third
slot.
The 4-H’ers held their first
livestock sale during the

Truckers asked
to limit driving
CAMP HILL - The Penn
sylvania Motor Truck
Association, in conjunction
with its Council of Safety
Supervisors, has issued an
appeal to ail Pennsylvania
truck operators to limit their
services to emergency or
essential deliveries during

This request for restricted
operations also urges all
drivers who must be on the

for $2.75 per pound and
Tucker Mackie purchased
the reserve champion for
$2.15 per pound. Other
buyers of lambs were:

Mechanics Insurance Co.
William Baker purchased
the champion hog for $1.60
per pound and Southern
States of Rising Sun bouth
the reserve champion for

also purchased hogs.

JERSEYS
Becky“ Frederick of
Nottingham won nearly
every blue ribbon in this
contest, coming away with
first place entries in the
junior calf, senior calf, 2-
year old, best three females,
and dam and daughter
classes. She also won the
rosettes for junior, senior,
and grand champion.
The only other exhibitor to
bring first-place animals
into the ring was Joyce
Barczewski of Elkton who
was at the halter of the top
junior yearling and aged
cow.

won all but the junior and
senior yearling classes,
which went to Holly England
of Rising Sun and Lisa Davis
of Earleville, respectively.
As winner of most every
class, the young man
naturally enough had the
junior champion, senior
champion, and grand
champion.
HOLSTEIN'S
Killdee
Chesapeake City exhibited
the senior and grand
champion m the open'show,
while Shem Lieske of Rising
Sun had the top animal in the
_ 4-H contest. The junior
champion title on both
counts was won by Lita
Miller of Chesapeake City.
