Compared with the
previous week’s close -
through midweek, prices on
slaughter steers were 75-1.00
higher than the dull closing
trade of previous week, and
heifers were 1.00-1.50 higher.
Cows were firm to 50 cents
higher and bulls firm to 1.00
higher.
Four day receipts 13,600 as
compared 13,800 , previous
week and 15,200 a year ago.
The fed cattle trade followed
an arratic pattern during the
week under review. Prices
advanced sharply on the
opening session in reflection
of a much improved carcass
trade late the previous week
