Her cow won the aged cow class in the Holstein division before being named the grand champion of the show. Ron Stover, also of Carlisle, was named the grand champion showman of the Show. Turnpike ready for holiday weekend HARRISBURG - “Take Care, Stay Alert,” is the message that Pennsylvania Turnpike employees will be passmg on to motorists this Labor Day weekend when record numbers of vehicles are expected to use the 470- rmle toll road. “We anticipate that nearly one million vehicles will use the Turnpike during the four day holiday period, and because of this heavy traffic volume, we intend to in crease our aggressive “Take Care” safety campaign, Jack I. Greenblat, Turnpike chairman said. Patrols by the Penn sylvania State Police Turn pike Troop will be increased during the holiday penod.
