Dinger, a livestock dealer and former operator of Showalter’s Livestock Exchange at Duncansville, Pa., has been suspended by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 90 days for violating financial and payment requirements of the Packers and Stockyards (P&S) Act. He has also been placed under a cease and desist order. USDA packers and stockyards officials said that Dinger is not operating at this time. Dinger is registered with USDA as a market agency and dealer to buy and sell livestock. He formerly purchased livestock in the Altoona area of Penn sylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Administrative Law Judge Dorothes A. Baker suspended Dinger’s registration for 90 days, starting July 27.
