According to spokesmen with the project, the Roelkey
was chosen because the conservation practices to be
installed were representative of those which are needed
on many farms throughout the nation. The undertaking,
which was officially dubbed Project Clearwater, was
directed to show that soil conservation is important and
that these same practices are linked to water quality.

nation's waters should be fishable and swimmable by

and enthusiasm within the District to stage another highly
publicized field day.
