Produce firm suspended
WASHINGTON, D.C. -
The G. Fava Fruit Co., of
Baltimore, Md., has had its
Perishable Agricultural
Commodities Act (PACA)
license suspended for 30
days for flagrant and
repeated violations of the
act. PACA, administered by
the U.S. Department of
Agriculture, establishes a
code of good business con
duct for the produce in
dustry.
The firm is not eligible to
conduct business under
PACA until Sept. 13. In

than were paid. Fava has

Based on the evidence
USDA ruled that FAVA had
committed violations of the
ordered its license
suspended.
