show held at Kutztown F air
KUTZTOWN - As part of
the activities of the Kutz
town Fair last week, the
dairy colored breeds show
was held with both an open
and junior division.
In the Ayrshire division
Christine Dietrich showed
the grand champion animal
in both the open and the
junior show. The Ambler R 1
resident showed her first
place intermediate calf,
Miss Lucky Star, to take the
top honors.
She also showed the
reserve champion in the
Ayrshires, with her first
place junior yearling,
Commanders Miss Noel,
winning that honor.
In the Brown Swiss
division, Richard Heyer,
Kutztown R 2, won the grand
championship with his four
year old Cow, Greendale
Butterfly.
The reserve champion was
shown by Richard Hoffman,
Sr., of Bemville Rl, who
showed the first place aged
cow, Marty L Mopsy.
A three year old cow, KC
Arnolds Halyanrds Mindy,
shown by Robert Smitth
Bethel R 2, was named the
grand champion in the
Guernsey open classes.As
with the winners already
mentioned, the cow was also
named the grand champion
in the junior show.
Jon Zollers, Mertztown R 2,
was the showman of the
reserve champion Guernsey,
with his two year old cow,
Dreibelbis Hornet Anita.
In the Jersey division,
Patricia Dreisbach’s
Wilderness A.S.M. Denim,
the first placing three year
old, was named champion.
She also showed the reserve
champion cow, a two year
old named Wilderness
Mandate Gale.
And in the Milking
Shorthorn classes, Nedra
Yorder, Shoemakersville,
had the grand champion
cow, Pinesedge Melody,
from the aged cow class.
Wendy Yoder, showed the
reserve champion with her
first place two year old.

Melody, who already has been named a champion at the Lebanon Fair this
year, took the top honors again at the Milking Shorthorn classes at the Kutztown
Fari. She was shown by Nedra Yoder, Shoemakersville.
