Club’s annual field day, held
Tuesday evening at the
Donald Hostetter farm, near
here.
Pettit discussed his
family’s recent milking herd
dispersal, emphasizing
promotion and advertising
as essentials for a successful
sale, and noted that testing
and classification records
strengthen sales.
Clarence Stauffer, HFAA
program director, discussed
several programs available
through the Holstein-
Fnesian Association of
America.
Junior members met with
Linda Kauffman of

Three classes of cattle
were judged by participants
with Pettit as official judge.
Top judge of the evening was
Steve Snyder with 146 out of
150 points. He chose a unit of
Hilltop Apollo Ivanhoe
semen as his prize
In the men’s division
Lester Eby, Earl Stauffer,
and Merle King tied for first
place, followed by Richard
Breckbili and Ed Kulp.

merman, 3. Susanna Umble,
4. Anna Stoltzfus, and 5.
Sandy Lusby.
Youth division placings
were 1. Snyder, 2 Neal King,
