weak. Sharp downturns in
slaughter steers and heifer
prices early in the week
apparently were the result of
recent sharp declines in the
wholesale carcass trade and
live buyers attempting to
adjust their live costs ac
cordingly. Slaughter supply
mainly choice and mixed
