The older members of the group showed the younger members how to trim hoofs. 4-H club meets INTERCOURSE - On May 22, the Pequea Valley 4-H Cooking & Sewing Club met. The meeting was chaired by President Lisa King. The group then saw slides about 4-H activities, played some games and sang some songs. The next meeting will be June 26, at the Pequea Valley Intermediate School’s home economic room. This will be the club’s first work meeting. It will start at 10:30 a.m. Hunterdon Co. plans contest FLEMINGTON, N.J. - A roast turkey dinner will precede the annual Hun terdon County dairy princess contest scheduled for June 13, reports Mrs. Marie Schwab, Ringoes, contest chairman. The affair will be held at the Ringoes Firehouse. Details, entry forms, and tickets are available in the Hunterdon County Extension Service office. Franklin Co. beef club holds meeting GREENCASTLE Twenty members of the Franklin County 4-H Baby Beef Club and their parents met recently at the Citizens National Bank, Greencastle. A roller skating party was set for June 6 at Cold Springs Roller Rink, Waynesboro. Roy Brenneman, Agway feed representative, discussed the proper feeding and ingredient proportions for steer feed.
