McCoy, president of McCoy Cattle Co., was elected to his seventh term as president of the Lancaster Stockyards, Inc. at the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting on Saturday, May 13. McCoy, in his president’s report, cited an increase of six per cent in total livestock receipts during 1977 with cattle up 13.5 per cent and hogs up 11 per cent, while feeder pigs, calves and sheep numbers declined. Salable receipts at the Lancaster yards in 1977 totaled 335,467 head com pared to 335,784 a year ago and 232,551 in 1972, when the corporation was formed and the stockyard property was purchased from the Penn Central railroad company.
