HARRISBURG - The 1978
Pennsylvania Poultry
Conference scheduled for
June 22, at the Host Farm in
Lancaster, Pennsylvania
will again feature three
separate conferences for
broilermen, eggmen, and
turkeymen with prominent
speakers from throughout
the United States. The
conference has grown in
attendance every year for
the last five years and nearly
doubled last year when the
separate conference for each
commodity was instituted. A
nationally known figure is
also selected each year to
address all three con
ferences in a joint session.
The Broiler Conference
will include the following

The conference and
Grain reserve
reported
WASHINGTON, - A
telephone report by the
United States Department of
Agriculture (USDA) field
offices shows that 324.9
million bushels of wheat and
77.3 million bushels of feed
grain had been placed in the
farmer-held grain reserve
through May 9, according to
Stewart Smith, associate
administrator of USDA’s
Agricultural Stabilization
and Conservation Service
(ASCS).
The figures cited by Smith
were based on a telephone
survey by ASCS. Feed grain
in the reserve includes 21.3
