SCHNECKSVILLE -
Ephrata High School’s FFA
parliamentary procedure
team, a consistent winner in
country and area contests,
has placed first in regional
competition and will now go
on to state competition on
June 13,14, and 15 at Penn
State University.
Making up that team are
Sheryl Bollinger, president;
Tony Eberly. vice president;
Judy Zimmerman,
secretary; Allen Ackley,
chaplain; Donald Good,
sentinel; Larry Burkholder,
reporter; Kevin Smoker,
advisor, and Troy Gass,
treasurer. The team is
coached by Ernest Orr,
vocational agriculture
teacher at Ephrata.
Also heading for state
competition is the
parliamentary procedure
team from Anville-Cleona
High School, which took
second in the regional
contest held Tuesday at
Lehigh Community College.
Anville-Cleona’s team
members consist of Bryan
Burkholder, Alan Graves,
Reid Hoover, Jeff Landis,
Darryl Landis, Alan
Hostetter, and Ellis Meyer.
Northern Lebanon High
School placed third in that
contest.

Palace of Pennsylvania" positively pose

position of Parke Good, Plain and Fancy

Parke, who lives at R D 5, Manheim, Pa,
pndes himself in his ability to pick up his
eggs and deliver them for processing with
out plastenng the inside wails of his truck

ently made a penetrating impression on
those he works with, for whenever he
partakes in a day off, people pop the
question, "Where's Parke, is he iIP"

Marie Jones, from Walter
Biddle Saul High School of
Agricultural Sciences,
Philadelphia, placed first in
FFA public speaking with a
talk entitled “Rights for
Rats.” Taking second place
in that contest was Marie
Ackerman, Lehigh County
Vo Tech with a speech en
titled “Buried Gold.” Third
place in that contest went to
Maxine Messner, Garden
Spot High School. Her
presentation was entitled
“What do I see in the FFA?”
These three individuals
will also go onto state
compeition on June 13, 14,
and 15 at Penn State.

Lehigh County Vo Tech,
placed first in the con
servation contest on
Tuesday with a speech en
titled “The Trexler Dam -
a Threat to Your Future.”
Second place in that contest
was Maxine Messner, and
third Denise Krause,
Lebanon Vo Tech, “The
Youth Conservation Corp in
a National Forest”; and
fourth, Chris Heaney,
Delcroft Vo Tech, “Our Most
Important Natural Resource
