sibility for publishing the
weekly “Maryland
Livestock News” market
report.

harvesting season.

DOVER, Del. - University
of Delaware agronomist Dr.
William H. Mitchell has been
named a Man-of-the-Year In
Service To Agriculture by
the editors of Progressive
Farmer Magazine. The
award, which recognizes
Mitchell’s many con
tributions, both as a
researcher and Extension
specialist, was presented to
him during a special
ceremony at the annual
meeting of the Delaware
Crop Improvement
Association on March 7, in
Felton, Del.
The only other time a
Delawarean has been cnosen
for this honor was back in
the early 1970’s when Frank
Gordy, then director of the
University’s Georgetown
Substation, was recognized
for his many achievements.
The award is given to a
person who has contributed
significantly to the state’s

formed Montgomery County
4-H Goat Club invites any
