Also attending the National 4-H Congress was Sarah Fretz of the Lehigh County Livestock Club. Sarah gave a slide presentation of the entire week of activities and en couraged her fellow 4-H’ers to work towards that goal, which is “well worth the countless efforts it takes to achieve it” Robert Leiby, Lehigh County 4-H coordinator presentated many of the awards during the evening. “I Dare You” awards were given to Nina Handwerk, Teen Council president, and Tim Geiger of Neffs Agricultural Club, for their outstanding leadership. National _ awards medals were presented to: Sarah Fretz, a state winner in Sheep, and Mark Lichten walner, a Keystone winner in agriculture. Special awards went to; LeVeme Stanton - Junior individual in Ihe 4-H Holiday Bowling Tournament; and Robin Bilanch, senior in dividual. Team awards went to the Pin Busters for juniors and the Lynnport Gutter Cleaners for seniors. Susan Follweiler was named outstanding secretary; the ouststanding home economic club was Germansville Happy Homemakers; the out standing agriculture dub was the Saddle-ites Horse and Pony Club; and the outstanding community club was the Lynnport Com munity Club. Also honored were 41 first year leaders who have helped to increase the 4-H enrollment tremendoulsy.
