—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, March 4,1978 132 Little Dutchmen FFA celebrate 18 yr. birthday c By JOANNE SPAHR ANNVILLE - Although its been 50 years since the birth of the Future Farmers of America, the Little Dut chman Chapter of Annville Cleona High School, Lebanon County, got together last Thursday evening to celebrate their 18th year in existence. The occasion was the chapter’s annual dinner banquet which featured the bestowing of hohors to the top achievers in the group. Lowell Morton, vocational agriculture instructor at Annville and advisor to the FFA, enjoyed giving most of the honors as he publicly recognized the achievements of his members. Last year the chapter had the great fortune of being named the top parliamen tary procedure team in the Commonwealth. Making up that award winning group were: Jay Bomgardner, who took the role of president; Robert Kreider, vice president; Tom Landis, secretary; Jim Wampler, treasurer; Reid Hoover, chaplain; Ellis Meyer, sentinel; Alan Hostetter, reporter; and Bryan Burkholder, student advisor. Both advisor Morton and former president Jay Bomgardner credited another Lebanon County High School - Northern' Lebanon County - with providing top notch com petition for the chapter. This year the Little Dut chmen Chapter had two top greenhands-Darryl Landis and Joe Harvatme. The chapter star farmer was Alan Hostetter and the chapter agribusinessman was Roy Kleinfelter.
