New Holland is introducing
some new features in its line
of hay handling machines for
1978. Among the line-up are a
self-propelled bale wagon
which has a 4% ton capacity,
a new twine-tie baler, and a
round baler with an
automatic bale wrapper.
Sperry New Holland’s
Model 845 round baler can
now be equipped with Auto-
Wrap, an automatic bale
wrapping device, as a fac
tory-installed option.

wrapping device to be found
on a round baler, Auto-Wrap
provides a faster, more
uniform system for wrap
ping round bales, says the
manufacturer.
For each bale, it evenly
spaces the twine across and
around the bale. With the
new automatic system, up to
18 extra bales a day can be
wrapped, which is
equivalent to an extra hour
of baling.

need for the operator to twist

A new self-propelled
automatic bale wagon the
Model 1068, picks up a 4%-
ton load m less than 10
minutes.
Designed for the special
needs of large western
haying operators, the new
Stackcruiser carries 3-wire
16 by 23 by 46- inch bales or 2-
tie 16 by 18 by 46- inch bales.
At the roadside, it stacks a
load-unit in five minutes or
less. Daily capacity is rated
over 100 tons.
Cabs are standard on the
new wagons. Heaters and air
conditioning are available as
factory-installed options.
Electronic stack pattern
control on the Model 1075
offers five' basic bale
placement patterns for stack
stability. In addition, a
manual override allows the
operator to select an infinite
number of stack types. A
digital readout on the
console tells the operator the
exact pattern of bale

cumulates.
The Model 1069 builds 3-
bale wide loads. Designed
for custom operators and
large acreage producers, the
new wagon carries 160 14 by
18 bales or 13316 by 18 bales.
Average daily capacity
rating is over 2,500 bales. Tie
tiers are made on the go.
Loading time is ap
proximately 15 minutes.
Transport speed on paved
roads is a maximum of 25
mph. At the stack area the
load is added to the stack in
five minutes or less.
