Slaugfater'Steers closed 50-
1.00 higher,, the greatest
advance on relatively clean
choice. Heifers were 50-75
higher. A portion of an even
more substantial early
advance on both classes was
lost at midweek.-Cows were
1.00-1.50 higher, instances
2.00 up, and bulls closed firm
to 1.00 higher.

trading as marketings ex
panded. Most reliable
demand centered strongly
on the available supply of
choice steers and heifers
which were relatively free of
mud. In reflection of
weather conditions, more
than 50 percent of the four
day total arrived on Wed
nesday. Slaughter steers
made up approximately 45
percent and heifer? 40
percent with a large: Hare
both classes good to
average-choice. Cows made
up 10 percent and feeders 4
percent.
