Hereford Assn, forms HARRISBURG - The first meeting of the new Penn sylvania Hereford Association was held in the Exhibition Hall at the Pennsylvania Farm Show. An election of officers was held. Richard Sanders was elected president of the organization with William Renner, vice president, and Ernest H. Martinez secretary-treasurer. A board of directors was also elected. Included were; Lynn Thompson, F. Malcolm Wright, Arthur Allison, Glenn Flickinger, Spurgeon E. Kimmel, Don Rouse, and Terry Shearer. Terms for the directors will be decided at the nexr meeting ac cording to the bylaws of the organization. It was also decided that dues for the group would be $lO per year. William Renner was named the representative to the Pennsylvania Cat tleman’s Assocation for the year 1978. Meetings will be held monthly with the next meeting to be held ten tatively in March during the Pa. Bull Test Sale. One of the mam goals of the Pa. Hereford Association discussed at its first meeting was getting the youth of the state involved in the association, hoping to educate them on the benefits of owning registered Hereford cattle. 57
