HARRISBURG - York
County Angus breeders
swept their show on Wed
nesday morning in the Farm
Show complex. For the
second consecutive year,
The grand champion female of the Angus show was exhibited by Edlyn’s Rishei
Farm, York. Standing behind the animal from left is judge William Hodge,
Gaithersburg, Md.; Rebekah Woods, Angus queen for 1977; Mrs. Ed Rishei, and

York, took the grand
champion Angus female at
the state Farm Show.

AA honors of the breeding
stock show was South
Branch Farms, York RB.
Rishel’s champion,
Edlyn’s Black Jestress, was
a junior heifer calf and the
youngest animal in the show.
Her sire, Ankonian Dynamo
was a previous national
champion who has sired
numerous national champs.
Along with the grand
champion, the Rishels also
showed the intermediate and
junior champion females.
The intermediate champion
was a maternal sister to
Edlyn’s Black Jestress, and
the junior champ was sired
by Northern Prospector 14, a
syndicate-owned $42,000 bull
held jointly with American
Breeders Service. Reserve
intermediate champion
female went to Thomas
Baum, Elizabethtown.
The grand champion
Angus bull at show was
“Sayre Dynamo 441 G,” also
the show’s senior champion.
