Two cows in the DH3A program finished with lactations
over 1000 pounds of butterfat High cow was Jacob
Stoltzfns’ Cora, a 5-year old Holstein with a 305-day lac
tation of 24,228 pounds of milk, a 5.1 per cent test, and 1228
pounds of butterfat.
Second high ms Ardrossan Farms’ SB Elrng, a 3-ycar
old Ayrshire. Her credits are 25,705 pounds of milk, a 4.1
per cent test and 1044 pounds of butterfat in 305 days.
The high cow for mflk was No. 142 in the herd of Newton
Evans, Jr. The 5-year old Holstein produced a 305-day
record of 26,645 pounds of milk, with a 3.0 per cent test and
788 pounds of butterfat. Second high for milk was George
P. Lamborn’s Arlady, a 5-year old Holstein with a lac
tation which reads 26,440 pounds of milk, a 3.4 per cent test
and 002 pounds of butterfat Like the others, he; record
was based 0n305 days.
