At what may be the highest price ever paid for a farm remaining in agriculture, John L. Stoltzfus and David King, neighbors to the farm, paid $4,975 per acre for the land totalling $569,000. The dairy and tobacco farm totalled 114 acres. Over 300 people attended the sale auctioneered by Alvin L. Miller.
