Sheep symposium DENVER, Colo. - A symposium on Sheep Production in Northeast has been scheduled for November 4 to 5, 1977 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The symposium will feature speakers and producers from throughout New England. Grange meeting RED LION - The Red Lion Grange met Saturday evening, October 15, beginning their regularly scheduled meeting with a covered dish dinner. Master Lee Burns chaired the business meeting, with Naomi Bupp, lecturer, in charge of the program. In keeping with the theme of the evening, Hill-Billy Hoedown, grangers were asked to dress in patched jeans, old shoes, suspenders and straw hats. Ben Wineka, . Edward Massa, and Ernest Leiphart entertained with hillbilly stories, and Edgar Mundis provided accordion music. Highlight of the evening was the election of a “Possom Queen,” with Gladys Stabley receiving the most votes. Mrs. Stabley was presented a “posson pin” to wear during the evening. Officers meetings are scheduled on October 30, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Valley Grange and November 6 at Gideon Grange Hall beginning at 2 p.m. Red Lion Grange will host the Women’s Acitivity Day, scheduled for Wed nesday November 9 at 10 a.m. A pumpkin and apple pie contest will be featured during the next meeting of Pomona Grange on Satur day, November 12. The Washington Grange will host that event, scheduled to open at 2 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Red Lion Grange will be held on November 5.
