Holaway suggests that new sheep producers get advice and information on older breeding ewes from their Extension agents or from experienced sheep producers in their areas. He said, “The best plan is to be informed before you make the purchase, you know the special before you are committed. We encourage newcomers to raise sheep - it’s a profitable business to enter now. However, lack of in formation can lead to serious financial problems.
