Members of the University of Maryland dairy
cattle judging team and their coach show off their
Cuthbert Nairn championship rotating memorial
trophy at awards banquet following last month's
ninth annual invitational collegiate dairy cattle
judging contest in Harrisburg, Pa. They also
received gold medallions and a $2OO check from
Obie Snider (center) of Imler, president of the
Pennsylvania All-American Dairy Show. Shown are

Rolling DHI herd average -17.597 M 3.9% 683 F
The herd has been A.I. sired and bred for 18 years
and until recently ABS bulls were used exclusively,
however recently Sire Power and Curtiss sires have
also been used. Bulls with daughters selling include
Bootmaker, Elevation, Sizzler, Ultimate, R Maple,
Monitor, Double Triune, Elevation Bob, Burkgov
Demand, Transmitter, etc. Sixteen are now bred to
Elevation and seven to Paclamar Astronaut.
A number selling will have over 20,D00M and four
first-calf heifers are projected over 20,000. The herd is
really producing at present, with milk weights to 101.3
lbs. for the tester in September and many from 70 to 100
lbs.
A well bred herd in excellent condition with popular
bloodlines and carefully selected service sires. A great
place to buy Registered Holsteins!

Charles R. Fisher of Columbia, (Md.), and team
coach, Dr. J. Lee Majeskie, assistant professor of
dairy science at the College Park campus. The
Maryland collegiate delegation also placed first in
judging Ayrshire, Brown Swiss and Guernsey
cattle at the Harrisburg contest-and it was third in
Holstein judging. Myers was high individual in the
contest. His brother, Jeff, coached the Maryland 4-
H “B” team to victory in another division of the
same contest.

expect 60-70 good cows and heifers. We will have the
buyers and your cattle will bring Top Dollar!
Our consignment sale will start in the afternoon at
1:30 p.m. in Nov. and throughout the winter.
