competition at the Gratz
Fair took place the Wed
nesday of fair week. Six
breeds of animals were
shown in the open show with
the following results:

The Spotted Swine open
show competition at the
Gratz Fair was dominated
by Claire Hartman, Gratz,
Pa. Hartman took the first
place January boar pig
division, the February boar

YORKSHIRE
In Yorkshire competition,
the Preston Banker! family,
Red Lion, kept it “all in the
family” at the Gratz fair.
In boar competition,
Wayne Bankert had the first
place January, March, and
champion boar pigs. Michael
Bankert won the first
placings m the February and
April boar pigs, taking the
reserve championship title,
as well.
Just Announced
Special Finance Charge waived on
select new John Deere and used
forage harvesters and forage boxes for
use in corn. Finance Charges waived
to Sept. 1,1978.
With sows, Wayne Bankert
had the first place January,
March, and reserve
champion sows, as well as
first place get of sire.
Michael came out on top
with the grand champion
sow as well as produce of
dam, February sow, and
April sow.

HAMPSHIRE
The Bankerts also swept
all Hampshire classes.
Preston and Michele
alternated wins in all sow
and boar classes with
Preston taking the champion
boar and reserve champion
sow and Michele winning the
reserve champion boar and
champion sow titles.
