The arts and crafts display
will include demonstrations
of delicate wire craft in
silver, real leaf jewerly,
hand painting on linens,
broom making, wood
working, the cutting and
polishing of gemstones,
antiques, paintings, wooden
toys, handcrafted pottery,
and etc.
In addition to the arts and
crafts display, there will be
an extensive program of
entertainment.
Michael Miller of the
Apple Harvest Festival
committee reports that,
“This year, in addition to the
traditional apple related
activities we are scheduling
the most varied list of
performers and entertainers
ever seen at the Apple
Festival.”
The festival, will feature
Schwab’s Dutch Band, the
U.S. Army Military Band, a
barbership quartet, the
Cannonaders Square
Dancing clowns, magicians,
puppets, the Fantasyland
characters, the Apple Core
Band two rock groups, the
Penn National Dixieland
Band, and the Believers, a
gospel singing group.
According to Miller, “We
are planning the biggest and
best Festival ever with
continuous activities and
entertainment to please the
entire family.” Or, visitors
can take a free half h our
tour of the fruit-laden or
chards on a bus that leaves
