Well, it will soon be
pumpkin season once again.
When that time rolls around,
there’s always the question,
“What do I do with pumpkins
besides making jack-o
lanterns and pumpkin pies
with them? This week
“Home on the Range” an
swers that question with 16
different recipes from some
of our readers.
According to the many
responses we had to this
theme, pumpkins are im
portant main ingredients in
many a bread and dessert.
Unfortunately, several of
our contribtors sent in
identical or nearly identical
recipes this week, and we
were only able to print one of
each. All of you who did help
by sending in contributions
received a little thank-you
gift from us, and we are
hoping you will try again so
that your particular recipe
can be printed next time.

satisfying desserts that are
so needed after the big
holiday meal.
When December 31 rolls
around, however, Christmas
will be over, and thoughts
will be on that New Years
Eve party and the necessary
prepositions that go into
making it a success. To aide
in preparation for this party,
“Home on the Range” will
feature party appetisers
during the last week of
December.
If any of the above recipe
themes interest you, and you
would like to contribute to
the recipe column, send the
