with the U.S. Soil Con
servation Service, the first
field days demonstration of
its type ever held in Penn
sylvania. The field days are
on Sept. 9 and 10 from 8 a.m.
to 6 p.m. daily.
Using equipment donated
by major manufacturers,
PLICA contractors will build
two half-acre ponds in Perry
County.
Visitors may operate or
see demonstrated the latest
in backhoes, hydroseeders,
bulldozers, scrapers,
trenchers and other related
equipment as they put the
final touches on the ponds 85
per cent of which will have
been completed prior to the
weekend.
There will be food, parking
and nearby camping at the
field days, held about 35
miles northwest of
Harrisburg near Ickesburg.
