SALE MANAGER’S NOTE: QUOTE DR. MONATAGUE: The goal of “Salt Spring Farm” was to produce early maturing cattle which retained the rapid growth and feed conversion efficiency characteristics of the Charolais breed. This is best typified in our herd sire Jameson Senator Sam 301. In our own feed lots we have been producing fat cattle which have graded high good and low choice at 15-18 mos. of age, this on a high roughage diet. The traits of ease of calving, milking ability, polling and high fertility have also been pursued vigorously. This herd has been culled prior to sale date, to give you the best in quality.
