Kauffmans have Southcentral Holstein champs LEBANON - The Robert Kauffman family of Elizabethtown showed both grand and reserve grand champions at the South central Champion Holstein Show, held last Saturday at the Lebanon Fairgrounds. Ray Seidel of Kutztown was judge for the event which had more than 130 head entered. Breeders from Lebanon, Lancaster, York, Cumberland, and Adams Counties were represented. Aside from the two top banners, the Elizabethtown breeders also had the first place senior get, the top dam and daughter pair, and the first-place aged dry cow. Bob Kauffman showed the reserve grand champion, Andfar Astronaut Cin derella, bom Sept, 10, 1971 and bred by Henry F. Francisco and Sons. Both cows have been consistent winners for the Kauffmans, who make their home at Penn-Springs Farm in north western Lancaster County.
