f) Region sends four to state 4-H dress revue a By JOANNE SPAHR CAMP HILL, Pa. - Seven out of 80 young women participating in the Capital Regional 4-H dress revue emerged victorious on July 21 when they were awarded gold ribbons, the highest honor attainable at the fashion competition. Four of the seven will now have the change to participate in the state dress revue on August 2 at Eisenhower Auditorium on the Penn State University campus. Only seniors and allowed to go onto state competition. Those four girls were: Carol Ebersole, Lititz R 2; Charla Janney, Brodbecks Rl; Laurel Ort, Mechanicsburg; and Sue Risser, Dillsburg. SHARP um 2 dinating pink polyester knit blouse with a soft bow at the neckline for accent. A wool ensemble which included a plaid rust-colored double faced reversible coat and a matching reversible vest and skirt earned Charla Janney the right to present the Capital Region at state competition. Completing her outfit was a solid rust colored qiana blouse featuring a soft bow at the neckline. Laurel Ort created several coordinating outfits in baby blue. Among her ensemble was a polyester raincoat, an A-line skirt with a front kick pleat, a polyester crepe silk print blouse utilizing maize as an accenting color, solid knit pants, and a coordinating striped knit jacket. Sue Risser earned her gold ribbon with a cotton suede rust-colored coat featuring a manilla lining and raglan sleeves. Accenting the garment were wooden buttons. Since only seniors were allowed to participate in state dress revue, the gold ribbon status was the highest achievement which junior seamstresses could attain. V 5 * ' 4 t. s v 4 i Home Center, Lancaster, Pa. Plans were finalized for Achievement Day to be held August 18 at the Farm and Home Center. An afternoon program involving varied workshops has been planned. A food stand sponsored by the County Council will be available. The evening program will feature a talent show, queen contest, and awards assembly. A day camp will be held July 26 at the Lancaster County Park starting at 9:30 a.m. Crafts, recreation, and nature ideas will be presented in the program.
