Porkecue Cook-Off is fast approaching, according to Rick Baker of the Maryland Department of Agriculture. The contest, open to all residents of Maryland and the District of Columbia, is a joint effort by the MDA and the Maryland Pork Producers Association designed to encourage development of tasty pork recipes and cooking methods. According to Baker, the cut off date for entries is July 29 and 10 finalists will be chosen and notified by August 5.
