A tour of Hickory Farm Store, Berkshire Mall is planned for the July 25 meeting. A short business meeting will follow the tour at the home of Mrs. Herbert Kurtz. Lancaster Co. Society 11 Lancaster County Farm Women Society 11 met at 1:30 p.m. on June 30 at the home of Mrs. Ruth Henry. The program was given by Mrs. Mary Boomsma who showed pictures and displayed mementos of the Netherlands she obtained while visiting that country for a family reunion. The July meeting will be on July 28 at the Quarryville Legion Park with a picnic planned. Lancaster Co. Society 26 On Thursday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m., Lancaster Co. Society 26 met at Mrs. Richard Kreider’s, Manheim. S. June Smith Center was voted by the Farm Women Society as the county project. Lancaster Co. Society 26 voted to give - 75 towards this project. The Farm Women Society County picnic will be held on Augusts. Two daughters of ladies from the society gave the program. Debra Kreider, the Lancaster County Dairy Princess, gave the presentation that she gave in schools and nursing homes on promoting milk. Final plans were announced for the food stand planned at the county farm plowing contest to be held at the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kreider, Strasburg, on July 19. The program was “Scripture Interpretation and Floral Design” by Mrs. Rhoda Oberfaoltzer, Lititz. The next meeting will be on July 28 with a ride on the Strasburg Railroad planned. York Co. Society 20 York County Firm Women Society 20 recently met at the home of Evelyn Ayres, with 14 members present. To celebrate Flag Day, the group members took part in a reading giving background information on displaying the American flag. On June 28 the group was entertained by York Co. Society 22 at the Snoop Shop. Program for the day in cluded A. Joan Lamberson, of the County Extension Service, who briefed the Farm Women on the use of scarves. A luncheon was served. On July 12, beginning at noon, York Co. Society 5 will be entertained at the New Freedom Methodist Church with a dinner. Margaret Shaub will host the meeting; 4-H project club members will be en tertained. Visiting club members will conduct the meeting program.
